Privacy Policy

Who we are

PrompterMint is made by Soummyadip Singha Roy, based in India (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about your privacy, email support@promptermint.com.

The PrompterMint app

No account

The app works without an account. We don’t ask for your name, email address or phone number.

Your scripts and settings stay on your iPhone

Your scripts (title, text and when they were created, changed and last used), your prompter settings and your answer to “What will you record?” are saved only in the app’s storage on your iPhone. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. If you delete the app, they are deleted too. Like other app data, they can be included in your own iCloud or computer backup, depending on your iPhone’s backup settings.

Camera and microphone

The app asks for camera and microphone access the first time you tap Record. It uses them only on the recording screen, to show the camera preview and to record your video with sound. Nothing is streamed or uploaded. You can turn access off anytime in iPhone Settings > PrompterMint.

Your videos go to your Photos

When you finish a recording, the app saves the video to your Photos library. It asks only for permission to add videos, so it can’t see the other photos and videos on your iPhone. After the video is saved, the app deletes its own temporary copy. Videos leave your iPhone only if you choose to share them with the iPhone share sheet.

Purchases

Pro is bought through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your card or payment details. To know whether you have Pro, the app will use RevenueCat, a service that checks App Store purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID created by the app and your App Store purchase and subscription information, along with basic technical details such as the app version and your device’s IP address. It doesn’t receive your name, email or scripts. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy. The app saves your Pro status on your iPhone so Pro also works offline.

No ads, analytics or tracking

The app contains no advertising, no analytics tools and no tracking, and it doesn’t use AI services. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. You control this in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

This website

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we save your email address, which form you used, the date and time you joined, and whether you ticked the box for news about our other apps. They are stored in a Google Sheet in our Google account, so Google stores them for us (see Google’s privacy policy). We use your email only to send you one email when PrompterMint is on the App Store and, only if you ticked the box for it, occasional news about our other apps. We don’t sell it or give it to anyone else to use for their own purposes.

You can unsubscribe or ask us to remove your email anytime: use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or email support@promptermint.com. We remove it as soon as we can. Otherwise we keep it until we stop sending these updates.

Cookies and analytics

This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind. Its fonts are served from this website, not from another company.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from attacks (see Cloudflare’s privacy policy).

Children

PrompterMint is not made for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us their email, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Your scripts and videos are on your iPhone, so you control them directly. For the information we hold (your waitlist email), you can ask us anytime to see it, correct it or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under laws such as the GDPR, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. Email support@promptermint.com and we will reply within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. If a change is important, we will also tell you in the app or by email.
